Was the backlash too much for you, Troian Bellisario?
At the Teen Choice Awards this past Sunday, Troian gave a very confusing interview to Entertainment Tonight about her supposed feud with Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian West. Let’s just say the actress must be pretty tired right now from all the backpedaling she did!

For those who missed it, Ms. Bellisario gave some pretty feud-inciting comments at the Democratic National Convention last week when she was asked about Kim and Tay’s explosive beef.
In the beauty’s response, she accused the singer of “false feminism” while also directing some shade at the reality star. If you read the interview, there’s no question she meant to throw at least some criticism in the pair’s direction.
Following the pointed interview and subsequent dramatic headlines, Troian’s future mother-in-law texted her to figure out exactly what the deal was:
“All of a sudden … I think my fiance’s mom texted me and was like, ‘What’s your problem with Taylor Swift?’ And I was like, ‘What happened? Are you OK?’ I was like, ‘What’s going on?’ And then I started seeing all these fans were like, ‘What do you have against Taylor? blah blah.’ And I looked at the headlines and out of this entire political interview that I did, that was the one line that they took and I was like…’How?'”
Umm… the dig was actually a paragraph long. We’re not sure if we can blame the pesky media for this one, girl!
The 30-year-old went on to add:
“First of all, I was asked between the Kardashians and Taylor Swift who I would choose and I basically… because I was at the Democratic National Convention, I was like, ‘Can I vote Green Party on this?’ Because I am not on either side. I’m not taking sides. I’m not Kardashian, I’m not Swift. What I meant was that I literally don’t know anything about Taylor Swift or the Kardashians, so please don’t make me choose sides on this!”
Well, at least the Pretty Little Liars star did her best to wriggle her way out of the drama — we guess art does really imitate life!
